For washing machine use

Flamingos are wonderfully peculiar birds. Whether showing off their vivid plumage or standing impressively on one slender leg, they never fail to impress. For your own brilliant display of hot pink splendour choose Flamingo Pink every time. One pack will dye up to 600g of fabric (e.g. jeans, bath towel, double sheet) to full shade & up to 1.2kg of fabric (e.g. double duvet) to lighter shade.

Suitable Fabrics: 100% Cotton, High% Cotton Mix, 100% Linen, High% Linen Mix, 100% Viscose, Viscose-Natural Fibre Mix and Canvas Fabric.

Fabric Type:
a) Cotton, linen & viscose will dye to full shade.
b) Polyester/cotton & polyester/viscose mixes will dye to lighter shade.
c) NOT SUITABLE FOR: Wool, silk, polyester, acrylic, nylon & fabric with special finishes e.g. ‘dry clean only'.


Fabric Amount:
a) One pack will dye up to 600g of fabric (e.g. jeans, bath towel, double sheet) to the full shade & up to 1.2kg of fabric (e.g. double duvet) to lighter shade.
b) Multiple packs will dye larger amounts to full shade, e.g. 2 packs for 1200g (e.g. double duvet) or 4 packs for 2kg (e.g. curtains)


Original Fabric Colour:
a) You can change one strong colour to another (or dye it to a lighter shade) by using DYLON PRE-DYE which lightens before you dye, ready for colour change.
b) Otherwise colour mixing rules apply, e.g. blue dye on red fabric gives purple.
c) Patterned fabric will often still show through

COLOUR SHADE
The shade you achieve will depend on 3 things:

1. FABRIC TYPE
a) Cotton, linen & viscose will dye to full shade
b) Polyester/cotton & polyester/viscose mixes will dye to lighter shade
c) NOT SUITABLE FOR: Wool, silk, polyester, acrylic, nylon & fabric with special finishes e.g. ‘dry clean only’.

2. FABRIC AMOUNT
a) One pack will dye up to 600g of fabric (e.g. jeans, bath towel, double sheet) to the full shade & up to 1.2kg of fabric (e.g. double duvet) to lighter shade

3. ORIGINAL FABRIC COLOUR

HELPFUL HINTS
1) DO NOT ADD SALT to the dyeing process as salt is already included in the dye formula.
2) Use in front loading automatic washing machines. Do not use in launderette machines
3) Don’t dye more than half machine’s maximum load to avoid crowding which will give patchy results
4) Don’t use more than five packs of dye at once
5) Dyeing may not cover stains, faded areas or bleach marks
6) Should any dye be left in machine after dyeing, add cup of bleach to drum,wipe rubber seal, add detergent as usual & run machine empty on 40°C cycle
7) After dyeing, wash separately or with similar colours for first two washes to remove any excess dye
8) Polyester stitching will not dye

DIRECTIONS

a) Weigh dry fabric to ensure you have sufficient dye
b) Wash thoroughly, even if new, to remove stains or any dressings that cannot be seen
c) Wearing rubber gloves, empty full contents of pack(s) into drum (not the soap dispenser)
d) Put in damp unfolded fabric
e) Run 40°C cotton cycle (do not use pre-wash, economy or half load cycles)
f) When complete, add detergent & run 40°C cotton cycle again
g) Remove fabric from machine, add detergent & run empty 40°C cycle to clean machine
h) Dry fabric away from direct heat & sunlight.

Delivery Schedule

We start processing your order without delay and will normally send it to you by same day dispatch if ordered by 1pm. UK orders are usually received within 2-3 business days following dispatch. Mainland European and Southern Ireland orders are sent by International Standard mail and are generally received in under 7 days. Worldwide orders to other destinations outside the UK are normally sent by International Economy mail unless otherwise agreed.


You must inform us within seven working days of receipt if the goods are lost or damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem. It is the responsibility of the customer to provide the correct delivery address. Undelivered goods which are correctly addressed are assumed lost after 30 days following dispatch, at which time a full refund will be paid. Please quote your order number in all correspondence.


The Dye Shop, its employees, and carriers are not responsible for any additional loss or damage beyond the value of the ordered products of any kind sustained by any person as a result of purchasing its products.

Returns Policy

Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive.


You are entitled to cancel your order and return the goods within 14 working days for a full refund, including the cost of delivery. Do this by contacting us by email or telephone and quoting the order number supplied to you. Your refund will be paid within 30 days. You are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning the goods, so you should ensure that they are securely packaged and take out adequate postal insurance to cover their value. This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault - for example, if goods are faulty.


Any goods returned should reach us in saleable condition.
